Pam Lock April 03 2017
Pam Lock is a member of the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho tribes of Wyoming. She makes her home on the Wind River Reservation with her family. She is a retired basketball player and runner, but she still enjoys watching her kids play. In her spare time, Pam likes to be at home where she beads and sews. She enjoys creating and carrying on the teachings of her grandmother, Virginia Noseep. Pam has four children, Charlene O’Neal, Ruth O’Neal, Charlie O’Neal, and Ozzadie O’Neal. As she learned the skill and teachings of beadwork, she was able to create outfits for her children so that they could dance at powwows. As she sits and beads, she often thinks of her family and her Grandmother, Virginia. Pam looks to beading to calm her mind while she produces beautiful works of art such as earrings, necklaces, purses, moccasins, etc. Her companion of eight years, Tyson Smith, is also a big help in creating her stunning, original, handcrafted pieces. She is always willing to help someone learn, so the teachings of her elders will never fade.
